Overview
Court Services Administrator is a 16-week Applied Certificate offered by Saskatchewan Polytechnic at its Prince Albert, Regina, and Saskatoon campuses, with online and distance delivery available depending on enrolment. The program prepares students for administrative and support roles across the justice sector, covering court office systems and procedures, criminal justice, provincial legal statutes, and interpersonal communication for legal environments. Coursework addresses criminal, civil, and family law, professionalism and ethics, and record-keeping practices used in court and legal offices. Students complete a mandatory two-week work experience placement that provides direct exposure to the court services sector. Admission requires Grade 12 completion, an English language proficiency requirement, and introductory Microsoft Office skills, or alternate admission through ACCUPLACER scores of 250 in Arithmetic, 240 in Reading, and 238 in Writing, or 15 approved post-secondary credits in place of Grade 12. A Criminal Record Check, paid by the applicant, is required before the work experience component. Graduates are prepared for administrative roles supporting court services and the broader justice system.
