BA/BS in Environmental Science

Environmental Science is a Bachelor of Science major offered by the School of Environmental Science in SFU's Faculty of Environment. The program examines the relationships between humans and the environment, drawing on a range of disciplines to study Earth's physical, chemical, and biological processes. Students learn to think critically about environmental problems and apply scientific methods to address them, including questions such as evaluating water safety and assessing contaminated sites. Students tailor the degree to their interests by choosing one of five streams: Applied Biology, Environmental Earth Systems, Environmetrics (environmental statistics), Water Science, or General Environmental Science. The major combines coursework in the natural sciences with applied environmental problem-solving.
