Trades - Apprenticeship in Electrician: Construction and Maintenance Apprenticeship

This program delivers the in-school study portion of the Electrician: Construction and Maintenance apprenticeship for students already registered and working in the trade, at the Kingston campus School of Skilled Trades. Apprentices alternate between employment with a sponsoring employer and in-school training, which is organized into four levels, each delivered in person as a nine-to-ten-week block; completion of a level earns a Statement of Achievement or College Certificate. The full apprenticeship process, combining in-school training with on-the-job hours, typically takes about five years to complete. Admission requires apprentices to be sponsored by an employer and registered with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development; there is no separate academic application route, as apprenticeship training is undertaken while employed in the trade.
