The Master of Divinity with a Concentration in Pastoral Thanatology is a 27-course, three-year seminary program at Tyndale University. Sample courses include Spiritual Care of the Dying and Grieving, Cultural and Gender Dynamics in Grief, Death and Dying, and Disenfranchised Grief. A 260-hour internship is required for professional certification. The concentration is also offered as a Post-Graduate Diploma, a Doctor of Ministry, and a Post-Doctor of Ministry Certificate.
