This Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting Sciences (Baccalaureat en sciences comptables) at Universite du Quebec a Chicoutimi is a 90-credit program leading to a Baccalaureat en administration des affaires, delivered on campus with admission in the fall and winter terms. The program trains students to master the theories and practices of professional accounting, covering financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, financial management, internal control, and accounting information systems. Coursework combines 28 mandatory courses (81 credits) with three elective enrichment courses (9 credits), including options in financial planning and risk management, project management, and accounting cycle management. Students without adequate preparation in mathematics complete the remedial course Bases mathematiques before continuing, and the program develops the intellectual-work methodology expected of a university business curriculum. Graduates are positioned to pursue a professional accounting designation and further study at the graduate level.
