This graduate diploma (DESS) develops advanced competencies in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data visualization, statistical and mathematical methods, and big data. The 30-credit, second-cycle program is offered full-time or part-time at the Levis and Rimouski campuses, with new cohorts starting once enough admitted candidates have registered. The core curriculum comprises four mandatory courses covering an introduction to data science, artificial intelligence, programming for data science, and mathematics and statistics for data science. Students then choose four elective courses from specialization, application, and enrichment blocks addressing topics such as natural language processing, optimization, deep learning, data governance, computer vision, time-series analysis, and applications of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity and industry 4.0. The program concludes with a final six-credit activity, completed either as an internship or a project. The diploma is intended for holders of a bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or computer engineering, and provides applied, industry-oriented training in data science methods and tools.
