This certificate allows students to acquire foundational knowledge in the field of accounting. The 30-credit, first-cycle program is aimed at individuals already working in accounting or wishing to enter the field, combining core theoretical concepts with practical applications relevant to business contexts. Coursework builds competency in recording, analyzing, and reporting financial information as used in day-to-day accounting practice, giving students the technical grounding needed for entry-level accounting and bookkeeping functions within an organization. Applicants without collegial-level mathematics may need to complete a preparatory course before beginning program courses. The program is offered in full-time and part-time formats at the Gatineau and Saint-Jérôme campuses, with admission open in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms, leading to a Certificate credential from Université du Québec en Outaouais.
