This Diplome d'etudes superieures specialisees (DESS) in industrial relations and human resources is a 24-credit graduate professional program focused on analyzing workplace change through its causes, processes, and impacts. Students examine labour relations dynamics, human resources practices, and public labour policy, building on foundational courses in labour relations and public labour policy for those entering from outside the field. The program combines one mandatory course with a range of elective courses drawn from labour relations, human resources management, and related graduate offerings, allowing students to tailor their studies toward organizational, union, or policy-oriented careers. It is aimed at professionals seeking specialized graduate-level knowledge without committing to a full master's thesis, and prepares graduates for advanced roles in labour relations, human resources management, and workplace policy analysis in both unionized and non-unionized settings. Admission is offered in the Fall term.
