The Graduate Diploma in Management – Human Resources (D.E.S.S. en gestion – ressources humaines) is a 30-credit, second-cycle program at HEC Montréal covering human resource management topics such as talent and performance management, skills development, employee engagement, legal aspects and practices in unionized settings. It develops HR management skills including leadership, negotiation, mediation and conflict management, with a practice-oriented curriculum grounded in real workplace situations. Under certain conditions, completing the program gives access to the admission exam of Quebec's Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA). Courses are delivered in hybrid format at the Côte-des-Neiges campus, alternating weeks of remote and in-person instruction, on a full-time or part-time basis during the day, evening or weekend. The program is intended for managers who lead teams as well as HR practitioners seeking to update their knowledge and earn a graduate diploma, and it can lead, under certain conditions, into the Master's in Management (M. Sc.) – Human Resources Management.
