Overview
The Graduate Diploma in Performance is offered by the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. The course-based program is designed for musicians who wish to refine technique and master repertoire through intensive coaching, practice, and performance projects, with flexible requirements that accommodate soloists, opera singers, collaborative pianists, and chamber, jazz, and orchestral musicians. It prepares graduates for professional performance careers or further graduate study in performance. Students have access to the Schulich School's performance spaces, research and production laboratories, two music libraries, and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRMMT), which houses six dedicated research labs. Applicants are encouraged to connect with student ambassadors before applying. Admission requires an eligible bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0) and English-language proficiency; applicants should consult the program website for specific application documents.
