Curriculum Studies is a graduate program in the University of Saskatchewan's College of Education addressing the relationship between theory and practice in curriculum research, design, implementation, evaluation, and leadership. The Master of Education (M.Ed.) is offered in three formats - course-based, project-based, and thesis-based - allowing students to focus on the aspect of curriculum praxis suited to their professional goals, from applied coursework to an original research thesis. Core studies and a foundational education-research course anchor each format, supplemented by electives and, in the thesis and project routes, independent research culminating in a thesis or capstone project. The program develops expertise in curriculum theory, pedagogy, and educational leadership for practising teachers, curriculum coordinators, and other education professionals seeking to deepen their scholarly and practical understanding of curriculum design and reform.
