BA/BS in Indian Teacher Education Program (ITEP)

Admission Requirements: The Indian Teacher Education Program (ITEP) is open only to First Nations/Aboriginal students; verification of Indigenous membership/citizenship with documentation is required. Direct entry from a Saskatchewan high school needs two of Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Physics 30, Earth Science 30 or Computer Science 30; History 30, Indigenous Studies 30, Social Studies 30 or Native Studies 30; a 30-level language other than English or a Fine/Performing Art; and Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30 -- up to two subject deficiencies are permitted if cleared before second year, and transfer applicants with 18 or more transferable credits are exempt from these prerequisites. The minimum admission average is 70%, with applications considered on a rolling basis until seats fill. English proficiency is USask's general undergraduate Language Proficiency Regulations (admissions.usask.ca/requirements/english-language-proficiency.php): IELTS Academic 6.5/6.0, TOEFL iBT 86/19, PTE Academic 63/59, Duolingo 120/100, CAEL 70/60. ITEP has a single Fall (September) intake.
