The Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Law, Non-Thesis stream, is a course-based program offered by the Faculty of Law, combining graduate-level coursework with the opportunity to write a supervised, substantial, publishable paper in an area of interest. Students may pursue the regular program or specialize in Air and Space Law, through the Institute of Air and Space Law, covering aviation and air and space regulation, conventions, and treaties; or, subject to course availability, in Comparative Law, through the Institute of Comparative Law, focused on North American and comparative legal culture. The Faculty of Law is recognized internationally for scholarship spanning the civil and common law traditions, comparative and trans-systemic approaches, and Indigenous perspectives. Graduates of the Air and Space Law option have gone on to organizations such as the United Nations, ICAO, IATA, and national space agencies.
