The Master of Nursing (MN) is offered through two fields of study. The MN-Leadership field prepares students to lead within an increasingly complex health care system and is delivered through a combination of online coursework and on-site residency periods. The MN-Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) field prepares students for advanced clinical practice through a combination of on-site instruction and distance learning. Both fields admit once annually, in September. The MN-Leadership field can be completed in three terms of full-time study or six terms part-time, while the MN-NP field is longer, requiring six terms full-time or twelve terms part-time. Applicants require a bachelor's degree in nursing, an undergraduate average of at least 78% (B+), and preparation in research and statistics. MN-NP applicants must additionally hold current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and have at least two years of full-time RN practice within the past five years.
