This Bachelor of Arts programme in Criminology examines crime, criminal justice systems and their broader social contexts through an interdisciplinary approach connecting criminology with gender and cultural studies, immigration, global and transnational studies, development studies, surveillance, and business and finance. Students build policy-analysis, presentation and community-engagement skills, supported by guest lectures from criminal-justice professionals and career-focused events, with a paid co-op and placement option available. The programme is delivered on campus at York University's Keele Campus within the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies, and admits students in the Fall, Winter and Summer terms for both first-year and upper-year entry. It leads to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and prepares graduates for roles such as lawyer, police officer, policy analyst, human rights worker, research analyst, community outreach worker and correctional officer.
