Overview
This Certificate in Financial Management is a 30-credit, part-time undergraduate program offered at the Université de Sherbrooke's École de gestion, with admission in the fall, winter and summer terms at the Sherbrooke and Longueuil campuses. Coursework is drawn mainly from a block of finance electives covering financial decision analysis, securities, advanced financial management, practical aspects of financing, derivative instruments, bond markets, business valuation, international finance, financial institution management, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management, and personal financial planning. Up to 9 remaining credits may be drawn from other first-cycle business courses with the program director's approval. The certificate builds focused finance competencies and its credits can also count toward the requirements of the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.A.A.). Admission requires at least one college-level mathematics course in differential calculus, linear algebra, integral calculus, or a related quantitative subject, completed before the program begins. The program is not open to admission for international students.
