BA/BS in Naturwissenschaftliche Informatik

The combined Bachelor's programme in Natural Science Informatics applies computing to the natural sciences. Computers have moved from an occasional aid to a key tool for controlling experiments and drawing conclusions from experimental data. The field serves as a core technology for progress in biology, biotechnology, chemistry and physics, where extensive data sets must be processed. The programme combines core computer science with a natural science subject as its second component. Graduates are prepared for roles that link computing with scientific research and data analysis. Students can obtain study counselling through the faculty's advisory services. Students combine core computer science training with a natural science subject, which allows them to model experiments and process measurement data. Study counselling is available from the faculty's academic and student advisory services for prospective applicants.
