MA/MS in Französisch

The Master of Education in French at Bielefeld University continues the French subject begun at Bachelor level for Gymnasium and Gesamtschule teaching. It is offered as a continuation of the core subject (Kernfach) or of the minor subject (Nebenfach). The emphasis lies on subject didactics. A practical semester is central to the programme, in which students try out their role as foreign-language teachers in different school settings. It is prepared, supported and reflected in its own subject-didactic module. In the core variant students can deepen literature, culture and media studies, linguistics or history. The page links to the module lists, the course catalogue and a master examination regulation dating from 2020. The page shows both variants side by side so students can match the choice to their Bachelor subject.
