Overview
This 1.5-year master's programme applies theoretical and practical production-engineering knowledge to the operation of manufacturing enterprises, developing skills to critically analyse and forecast ongoing changes in the engineering industry through analytical and experimental methods. Study subjects include manufacturing strategy, automation of production processes, numerical methods in mechanical engineering, engineering economics, modelling of manufacturing processes, and engineering projects management, built around a research project and final degree project.
Elective options cover computer-integrated manufacturing, advanced metallic materials, integrated CAD, CAE, and CAM systems, and innovative production technologies. Learning outcomes include solving interdisciplinary and atypical production problems by combining engineering, economics, and management knowledge, conducting analytical and experimental research, and critically evaluating emerging production technologies and methods against practical experience and published results.
