Overview
This programme develops photography specialists grounded in traditional, alternative, and digital techniques, alongside aesthetic perception, critical thinking, and the professional skills needed to adapt to changes in the field. Learning outcomes include understanding the philosophical and historical aspects of photography, cinema, and visual art; applying alternative and digital processes for editing and printing images; managing the stages of video production; photographing reportage, fashion, architecture, and three-dimensional art objects according to the ethics and conventions of each genre; and designing a personal creative strategy supported by a portfolio. The 156-credit field curriculum covers photography history, composition, architecture and commercial photography, photojournalism, video art, art history, project management, and entrepreneurship, together with thirty credits of creative photography internships and a professional bachelor thesis. Partway through their studies, students choose one of three specialisations: reportage, fashion, or architectural and three-dimensional-art photography. Graduates can work independently or in teams at newspapers, magazines, fashion and commercial agencies, television studios, and museums, or run their own photography business.
