Overview
This programme prepares automation and robotics engineers able to design, install, commission and operate automation and robotics systems while weighing their legal, social and economic impact. Core subjects cover mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, electric drives and control, electronics, programmable logic control systems and the basics of programming and artificial intelligence, supported by four internships and a final thesis. A specialisation block adds robotic systems, digital electronics, process visualisation in industry, renewable energy control and the programming of industrial robots, with free electives available in electrical safety, sustainable technology and the internet of things. Teaching mixes interactive lectures with practical and laboratory work, including a virtual laboratory, and assessment runs through a criteria-based ten-point scheme with a commission examining the graduation paper. Graduates can work as automation, robotics or control engineers, or as maintenance technicians, at manufacturing and automation companies.
