BA/BS in Informatics engineering

This informatics engineering programme at Klaipėda University trains broadly based computer science engineers who can design, build, maintain and check the security of computer systems and networks across a wide range of professional fields. Study draws on dedicated laboratories covering autonomous systems and artificial intelligence, prototyping of engineering systems and virtual instruments, intelligent control systems, software engineering, and digital and analogue electronics, giving hands-on experience with real intelligent and autonomous system prototypes. A placement developing engineering products takes place on campus before a final internship at a partner company, supported by partnerships with regional IT firms including Teltonika's IoT group, Visma and Telesoftas. Students can also study part of the programme abroad through the EU Conexus university network, which spans countries including Germany, Ireland, France and Spain, and take part in Erasmus+ mobility. Graduates can select software and hardware to build or improve systems, evaluate systems for performance, security and reliability, and prepare the documentation needed for product or service development.
