This programme prepares IT specialists suited to the needs of the Lithuanian economy, able to export software products and services and compete for technology roles across the European Union and beyond. The 165-credit field of study covers mathematics, discrete mathematics, computing fundamentals, and software engineering, together with English, professional practice, and a bachelor's thesis, supplemented by compulsory and elective modules in mathematics, science, and computing. Teaching combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, with a strong focus on teamwork and meeting deadlines, delivered by lecturers who are themselves researchers with experience developing software systems for Lithuanian and international clients. The programme is designed to meet the accreditation criteria for software-engineering degrees in Europe and the United States. Graduates are prepared to work as systems analysts, designers, or programmers, progressing to project management roles with experience, or to start their own IT company, and may continue to master's study in software engineering, informatics, or related fields.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Secondary education or higher is required. Applicants from outside the EU/EFTA must not be more than five years past completing their secondary studies. Applicants whose qualifications and motivation fit are invited to an interview with the Admissions Committee. Documents in English or Lithuanian are accepted. English proficiency is shown with IELTS Academic 6.5+, TOEFL iBT 81+, Cambridge English 176+, Pearson PTE Academic 59+, Duolingo English Test 120+, Password Skills Plus 6.5+ or another B2-equivalent certificate; native English speakers and English-degree holders are exempt.
