This bioinformatics degree combines mathematics, computer science and the life sciences, training graduates to analyse data drawn from the natural and biological sciences. Study-field modules make up roughly seventy percent of the credits, with elective modules, practical training and general university subjects filling the remainder. Graduates are prepared to work in natural-science laboratories, health-care institutions, biotechnology companies and other settings that require analysis of biological data, including using, modifying or creating bioinformatics software. The computer science grounding also opens roles in general IT companies developing complex software. Those completing the degree can continue into master's study in bioinformatics, informatics, information systems, software engineering or genetics in Lithuania or abroad.

Admission Requirements: Applicants need high school or secondary education, or higher; non-EU/EFTA applicants must have completed it no more than five years ago. Academic transcripts must show an overall grade average of 7.5 out of 10 in Mathematics and English. All applicants take a remote motivational interview and add a motivation letter to the application. Qualification documents are accepted in English or Lithuanian.
