AA/AS in Information Science/Studies

This transfer-oriented major gives students the opening coursework for a four-year degree in computing or information science, matching what similar programs elsewhere expect. Students also learn about the business setting and its information processing needs. Subjects include programming, operating systems, networking, web design and databases, with the aim of using application software and technology effectively. The program belongs to the School of STEM at Bucks, and a suggested plan assumes about fifteen credit hours each semester. Since this is a transfer major, students should check in early with the Transfer Services Office to learn which courses their intended four-year college will accept. Prospective students can ask the school office for questions about scheduling, course prerequisites and how the program fits their goals.
