AA/AS in Computer Engineering Technologies/Technicians

Computer engineering is one concentration inside Montgomery College's engineering science associate of science. It is among the more recent specialties in engineering and covers both the hardware and software sides of computing, bringing together subjects that once belonged to separate departments such as electrical engineering and computer science. Students learn to handle introductory physics and engineering questions involving code and logic circuits, to create modest systems grounded in computational theory and numerical techniques, and to rely on appropriate software tools. Early terms mix English, calculus, chemistry, physics, engineering design and a first computer science course. An advising guide and a sample term-by-term plan help students stay on track toward transfer.
