AA/AS in Business/Commerce, General

The Business Transfer Pathway is an associate of science option for students who plan to continue toward a bachelor's degree in business. It gives a broad grounding in business principles while leaving room to explore several areas within the field. Courses were chosen so that credits move directly into designated business bachelor's programs at Minnesota State universities, which can shorten the road to a four-year degree. Many classes are scheduled flexibly for students balancing work and family. Instructors bring experience from industry, and the campus is centrally located and notably diverse. Graduates may move into roles in marketing, finance, accounting or human resources, or go on to further study. The pathway suits learners who want an affordable, flexible start at a college before moving to a university, and who value having their coursework recognized when they transfer.
