Cert in Computer Software and Media Applications

The Web Development certificate teaches scripting for both browser and server, building databases and web applications, and core software engineering practice. It is a short credential aimed at people who want to enter the technology sector. Learning takes place in a computer lab equipped with current web development software. Students are encouraged to assemble an online portfolio so they are ready for regular employment, freelance work or a transfer into a four-year web development program. The certificate requires 24 credits and can lead to openings in programming, design and building mobile apps. Prospective students can review program details, cost information and faculty listings on the program page before applying. Because the credential is brief and focused, it can suit career changers, working adults and anyone who wants practical technical skills without committing to a longer degree path right away.
