AA/AS in Computer Science

This transfer-oriented associate degree introduces students to programming and software engineering principles. Learners work in languages such as Java, Python and C++ and take on real-world style projects that sharpen problem solving and add to a portfolio. Students may enroll full or part time and study on campus or online, which suits people who hold jobs while studying. Workshops, career fairs and faculty contact help build professional connections. The college has articulation arrangements with multiple universities, so credits earned here can count toward bachelor's study in computer science or neighboring disciplines. The program totals 60 credits and awards an Associate of Science. Prospective students can review program details, cost information and faculty listings on the program page before applying. The mix of programming practice, teamwork and exposure to employers helps learners decide whether to enter the workforce directly or continue into a bachelor's program afterward.
