The Justice Studies Diploma is a two-year, four-term program at Bow Valley College that equips students with the knowledge, skills, and values sought by employers across justice-related careers. Coursework emphasizes law, criminology, ethics, and community engagement, with a focus on wellness, diversity, and trauma-informed care. Students examine the structure and function of Canada's criminal justice system alongside community-serving sectors, developing skills in report writing, interviewing, conflict resolution, and case management. The program prepares graduates for roles across policing, corrections, community justice, victim services, youth justice, court services, and public safety. It is offered as a main program delivered in person at the Calgary campus, or as an online-synchronous option in which courses are delivered through scheduled virtual classes with recorded lectures for students unable to attend live sessions. Graduates leave with a foundation for entry-level positions across Canada's justice and community-safety sectors.
