Diploma in Film and Television

Film and Television (Cinéma et télévision, 589.C0) is a three-year technical diploma that trains students in film and television production and post-production. Students work across production departments including camera, floor/direction, editing, lighting, and production coordination, using filming stages, television and sound studios, editing suites, and visual-effects production labs comparable to industry facilities. The program is delivered through the college's Art and Media Technology school and also runs off-site cohorts, with students completing their first two semesters in Jonquière before continuing at Cégep du Vieux Montréal (from fall 2025) or Cégep Limoilou in Quebec City (from fall 2026) for the remainder of the program. It leads to a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) and prepares graduates for roles in film and television production, post-production, and related media industries.
