Diploma in Radio

The Radio profile is part of the Communications in the Media programme (589.BA), within the Art and Technology of Media stream, a 3-year DEC. Cégep de Jonquière is the only institution in Quebec to offer the Communications in the Media programme, of which Radio is one of the specialization profiles. Students work with digital radio broadcasting equipment throughout the programme, and in the final year are immersed in the operations of the campus station, ATM Radio, taking responsibility for on-air hosting, broadcast scheduling, and the production of news bulletins. Graduates are prepared for roles such as radio host, radio producer, journalist, researcher, or promotions agent within media organizations.
