Industrial Engineering Technology (Génie industriel, 235.B0) is a three-year technical diploma that trains students to become specialists in production quality, efficiency, and cost control, planning and organizing production activities in manufacturing enterprises. Coursework covers production planning and scheduling, quality control, workstation layout and work-method design, and continuous-improvement techniques, with the goal of optimizing production efficiency and controlling costs across a factory or plant. Graduates work as industrial engineering technicians responsible for coordinating production activities, improving work methods, arranging workstations, and monitoring product quality across manufacturing operations, in roles spanning manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and process-improvement functions. The program leads to a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) and can lead to further university study in industrial or manufacturing engineering and management.
