Diploma in Restaurant Management

This 3-year DEC (430.B0) prepares students to manage restaurants and food-service operations, covering team supervision, dining-room service techniques, menu planning, and supply and inventory management. The programme is offered in partnership with the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) and includes two paid work placements with restaurant businesses in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. Instruction combines classroom coursework, workshops held in front of real clients, and some distance-learning components. Since Fall 2026 the full technical training has been delivered entirely at Cégep de Jonquière. Graduates are prepared for roles such as restaurant manager, hotel food-and-beverage director, owner-chef, dining-room manager, or self-employed food-service operator.
