Techniques d'éducation spécialisée (351.A0) est un DEC technique de trois ans, offert sur six sessions au campus Félix-Leclerc, qui prépare à aider des personnes en difficulté d'adaptation, ainsi que leur famille, dans un but d'insertion sociale. La personne diplômée intervient auprès de personnes de tout âge vivant avec une déficience physique ou intellectuelle, un trouble de santé mentale, une difficulté liée à la toxicomanie, de la violence ou de l'exclusion sociale, ainsi qu'auprès de personnes aînées en perte d'autonomie et d'enfants ou d'adolescents présentant des troubles de la conduite, d'apprentissage ou du langage. La formation couvre l'observation des comportements pour en comprendre les besoins, la planification, l'organisation, l'animation et l'évaluation d'interventions éducatives, la communication et la relation d'aide, l'intervention en situation de crise et l'éthique professionnelle. Les étudiantes et étudiants réalisent deux stages de trente heures par semaine pendant quinze semaines, aux sessions trois et six, et bénéficient d'un centre de documentation spécialisé propre au programme. Il convient aux personnes émotionnellement équilibrées, respectueuses, empathiques, créatives et dotées de bonnes capacités d'introspection.

Admission Requirements: The program's own page (Campus Félix-Leclerc) states no particular secondary-course prerequisite beyond the general DES/DEP admission conditions. Capacity: 90 places in the first year. Program length: 6 sessions (3 years). For international applicants, admission runs through SRAM: candidates applying from outside Canada are considered for the Fall session only (application deadline 14 March) and need an average of at least 3.7 on the Bright French test, while those already in Canada on temporary status apply as regular candidates (recommended deadlines 1 March for Fall entry and 1 November for Winter entry) and need at least 3.5. The French test is mandatory in every DEC program at Cégep de l'Outaouais, even for candidates already schooled in French. Domestic applicants must hold a Diplôme d'études secondaires (DES), or a Diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) with the required secondary courses, or training the college judges equivalent, and apply through admission.sram.qc.ca.

Cégep de l'Outaouais accepts international applicants for the Fall intake only: the college's FAQ fixes the international deadline at 14 March of the admission year, i.e. 14 March 2027 for Fall 2027 entry, and it publishes no winter international deadline. Admission is rolling round to round within SRAM's system until each round's seats are filled, but the international date is firm. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
