Cert in Auto Body and Collision Technician

Auto Body and Collision Technician is a 34-week, Red Seal-aligned certificate program at College of the North Atlantic that prepares students for entry-level work as apprentice auto body technicians. The program covers vehicle structure repair, welding, painting, frame straightening, chemical handling, cost estimation and customer service, building the safe work practices and tool skills needed in collision repair shops. It is delivered on-campus at the Prince Philip Drive campus, with intake each September. Admission requires high school graduation or an equivalent academic pathway, and international applicants must meet the college's English language proficiency requirements. Because the program includes respirator use, students with facial hair are required to be clean-shaven for fit testing. Graduates are prepared for employment in body shops, frame shops, garages, dealerships or service stations, and can pursue Red Seal certification as a Journeyperson through four to five years of apprenticeship.
