Overview
The Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) program trains students to install, maintain, and repair stationary industrial machinery. Coursework covers reading mechanical schematics, operating rigging equipment, fitting bearings and gears, performing preventative maintenance, analyzing vibration, servicing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and completing tack welds. It is a Red Seal trade offered as a full-time, 37-week Certificate program delivered on-campus at the Corner Brook, Labrador West, and Placentia campuses. Admission requires high school graduation, Adult Basic Education Level III with the General College Profile and recommended mathematics and science courses, a Trades Bridging Certificate, a College Transition Certificate, or qualification as a mature student, requiring applicants to be at least 19 years old and out of school for at least one year. International applicants must meet the college's English language proficiency requirements.
