The Instrumentation and Control Technician program trains students to install, calibrate, maintain, and repair the sensitive measurement and control instruments used in automated production processes across industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, food processing, and pulp and paper. Coursework covers reading technical diagrams, regulating flow and air-quality systems, inspecting and testing equipment, writing maintenance reports, and performing preventative maintenance to keep machinery operating safely. It is a Red Seal trade offered as a full-time, 34-week Certificate program delivered on-campus. Students with facial hair must be clean-shaven for respirator fit testing. Admission requires high school graduation, Adult Basic Education Level III with the General College, Business, or Degree and Technical Profile including recommended mathematics and science courses, a Trades Bridging Certificate, a College Transition Certificate, or qualification as a mature student. International applicants must meet the college's English language proficiency requirements.

Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet one of the following: High School Graduation; Adult Basic Education (Level III) Graduation with General College Profile, Business Related College Profile, or Degree and Technical Profile, including recommended mathematics and science courses; Trades Bridging Certificate; College Transition Certificate; or Mature Student Requirements (at least 19 years of age and out of school for at least one year). International applicants must meet the College's English language proficiency requirements per Admission Procedures AC-102-PR, Section 5.2. Students with facial hair will be required to be clean-shaven at the time of respirator fit testing.
