Overview

Graphic Communications at College of the North Atlantic is a two-year diploma program covering pre-press, post-press, digital printing, and graphic design software, using industry printing equipment to build production-ready skills for the printing sector. Coursework runs across six semesters, including an intersession field placement that gives students on-the-job production experience. Delivery is on-campus at the Prince Philip Drive campus. Admission accepts a Provincial High School Graduation Certificate with a 60% average across eight level 3000 credits, a College Transition Certificate, or Adult Basic Education (Level III) at a 60% average; mature student status is also considered on an individual basis. Graduates find work at design and layout agencies, commercial and in-plant printers, government agencies, digital copy centres, and sign printers, applying pre-press, printing, and finishing skills across the graphic communications industry.

English proficiency is not set at programme level and instead follows CNA's institution-wide requirement: IELTS Academic overall band 6.0, TOEFL iBT 79, PTE Academic 53, or Duolingo 105, per Admission Procedure AC-102-PR.
