Requirements

Minimum GPA: 65.00 / %
Admission Requirements: Domestic entry is quoted in Ontario terms: an OSSD or its equivalent, or being 19 or older, plus six Grade 12 courses with a minimum cumulative average of 65%. Conestoga states that competition for places often pushes the real cut-off higher. Three of the six must be U level and three may be U or M. The required Grade 12 U courses, or their equivalents, are English (ENG4U) or Preparatory Communications for Degrees (COMM0350); one science from Physics (SPH4U), Biology (SBI4U) or Chemistry (SCH4U); and one maths from Advanced Functions (MHF4U), Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U), Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) or Preparatory Advanced Functions for Degrees (MATH0150), plus three other Grade 12 U or M courses. Applicants are expected to have basic computer literacy. Co-op eligibility inside the degree needs a session weighted average of at least 65% in the qualifying term two semesters before a work term, with no more than two failures or withdrawals in that term. International applicants: Conestoga lists this program at the higher degree-level English minimums - IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 88 with no skill below 22, PTE Academic 58, or Duolingo 120. Anyone holding transcripts from outside Canada, Canadian citizens and permanent residents included, needs a course-by-course credential evaluation from a service such as ICAS or WES, and must show English proficiency if the language of instruction was not English.
