Overview
Spanish proficiency is a competitive advantage whether you’re considering it for personal enrichment, travel, or career advancement. This program will prepare you to speak, read, write, and listen at an upper intermediate level of Spanish. You’ll progress from introductory Spanish to developing written and spoken Spanish language through critical observation of media, realistic conversations, social activities, and exploration of Spanish in today’s business world. This program will prepare you to write the Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera (DELE) test at the upper intermediate level.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Entry requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or applicants may qualify at 19 years of age or older; the program page does not state a prior Spanish-language proficiency level as a prerequisite. It does not publish a language-proficiency test or score requirement for English either, or any portfolio, interview or work-experience condition. Because the course is delivered online, students must have reliable internet access and a device that meets Conestoga's published program technology requirements. All courses that make up this part-time certificate must be completed within five years of acceptance into the program. Applicants apply directly through ontariocolleges.ca, and final selection follows an assessment of the stated admission requirements.

Conestoga does not publish a separate equal-consideration date for its January intake. International applicants apply directly to Conestoga and are assessed on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis until each program fills; no fixed international closing date is published.
