Law, Society and Justice is a two-year pre-university profile leading to a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in Social Science at Dawson College. The program examines the relationship between law and society, covering law and politics within their historical and social contexts. Coursework builds critical thinking, oral communication, and debating skills alongside the core Social Science curriculum. Students emphasize civic responsibility and citizenship and complete an individual, interdisciplinary research project applying social-science methods to a legal or social-justice question. The profile is designed for students planning to continue into university programs in law, political science, criminology, or related social-science fields. Graduates receive Profile 300.GK of the DEC in Social Science. The program is delivered over four academic semesters of full-time study at Dawson College.
