Requirements
Admission Requirements: Competitive program. Entry needs an OSSD, an equivalent, or mature-applicant status with at least 65% in Grade 12 English (C or U), Grade 11 or 12 Biology (C or U), Grade 11 or 12 Chemistry (C or U), and Grade 11 Math (U or M) or Grade 12 Math (C or U). Applicants who fall short are pointed to academic upgrading, with a conditional offer possible on proof of enrolment, or to the one-year General Arts and Science certificate — finishing it with 65% in the courses above meets the requirements. English is set separately from the college table for this program: the program page asks for IELTS Academic 7.0 in reading, listening and speaking with at least 6.5 in writing, and TOEFL iBT 5 with no band under 4.5. Selection where applicants exceed seats: preference for Ontario permanent residents, application received by 1 February, then achievement in the requirements. Fanshawe recommends a keyboarding speed of at least 40 wpm and time spent volunteering or shadowing in a pharmacy before starting. Before placement: Standard First Aid with BLS for Health Care Providers, evidence of good health, a police record check with vulnerable sector screening, and a year-two professional practice health form.
Application Details
Application Deadline:Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca: for Fall 2027 entry, applications open in early October 2026 and the equal-consideration date is 1 February 2027, after which later applications are assessed on a first-come basis until seats fill; non-competitive programs begin receiving offers from 1 November 2026, competitive-program offers go out by 30 March 2027, and 1 May 2027 is the usual deadline to accept an offer. International applicants apply directly to Fanshawe (CAD 100 fee) and face fixed document deadlines rather than a single closing date: for the current intakes, study-permit and conditions-met documents are due 10/15 August 2026 (Fall), 9/15 December 2026 (Winter) and 5/15 April 2027 (Summer); missing a deadline can mean deferral to the next intake. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
