Trades - Apprenticeship in Industrial Electrician Apprentice (Block Release)

This block-release apprenticeship (program code IEA2) provides apprentices with the knowledge to install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and electronic controls in industrial settings, leading to an Ontario College Certificate. Training alternates between paid on-the-job placements with skilled tradespeople and a full-time, on-campus classroom component organized into three levels of theoretical training, each running roughly 8 to 12 weeks. Apprentices must complete all three in-class levels together with the required on-the-job hours. As an apprenticeship, the program is arranged through Skilled Trades Ontario rather than the standard college application process, and applicants must already be employed with a sponsor before registering. The program is offered at Fanshawe College.
