This 30-credit, 10-course undergraduate certificate in human resources management at HEC Montréal covers personnel management practices across different contexts, including unionized and intercultural workplaces. Seven required courses (21 credits) build on two foundation courses (6 credits) in core HR management topics: compensation and benefits, recruitment, performance evaluation, training, labour law, and health and safety. The program is affiliated with the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA), and depending on prior experience and education, graduates can pursue a role in the HR department of a large organization or apply their skills within a small business. Instruction is in French, delivered through a mix of in-person and hybrid formats, mainly evenings and weekends, and can be completed full-time or part-time, though the certificate is designed primarily for part-time study.
