Overview
Langara's Real Estate Trading Services program gives students an alternate route toward BC's Trading Services licence exam, administered by the BC Financial Services Authority, without requiring enrolment in the province's standard pre-licensing course. The certificate is built from four 39-hour courses — real estate law, appraisal, finance, and mathematics — that can be taken individually or as a complete sequence, delivered part-time and in person on the Langara campus, with January, May, and September starts. Students who finish all four courses submit their official transcripts to the BCFSA to request eligibility to write the licensing exam. Graduates go on to work in the trading services field, and the program runs a minimum of four months for those completing it as a block.

International applicants use the same EducationPlannerBC portal but face fixed closing dates: 30 September 2026 for Spring 2027, 31 January 2027 for Summer 2027 and 31 May 2027 for Fall 2027. A short list of limited-enrolment programmes - Nursing, Advanced Entry BSN, Nursing Practice in Canada, Applied Science for Engineering and the Post-Degree Diploma in Data Analytics - set their own, earlier deadlines that apply to both applicant types.
