The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Earth Sciences at Laurentian University prepares students for careers in geoscience through the study of geology, mineralogy, petrology, and related disciplines. The program is based in Sudbury, within one of the world's largest mineral exploration and mining-service clusters, and includes more than 700 hours of hands-on laboratory and field experience using state-of-the-art analytical facilities. Students have access to co-located organizations such as the Ontario Geological Survey. The Honours specialization requires 120 credits, typically completed over four years of full-time study on campus. Graduates meet the minimum academic requirements for registration as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with Professional Geoscientists Ontario, and the program prepares students for careers in mineral exploration, environmental geoscience, and related fields, as well as for graduate study.

Admission Requirements: Ontario high school applicants need one Grade 12 English U/M course, Grade 12 4U Advanced Functions, and two Grade 12 U Science courses, with a minimum overall average of 70% across their six best Grade 12 U/M courses.
