Program details

Overview

Interdisciplinary Studies at Laurentian University is a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program that allows students to design a major around a central theme, such as the environment, health, or social change, by combining courses from three different Arts disciplines. Students work with a faculty supervisor and complete a capstone project course in their final year that integrates their coursework into a single body of work. The program requires a minimum of 120 credits and is delivered both on campus and online. Students may also complete Interdisciplinary Studies as a minor, requiring a minimum of 24 credits, or as a second major, requiring a minimum of 42 credits. The flexible structure is intended for students whose academic interests span more than one traditional discipline. Graduates pursue further study or careers across a range of fields depending on their chosen theme and discipline combination.
