If you have questions or require more information, please contact the Program Coordinator.   Additional Course Information The Practical Nursing program offers students clinical setting learning opportunities in the hospital setting, followed by a Preceptorship period. Practical Nursing students will experience group clinical placement on medical, surgical, maternity, and mental health. Students may request the area of preference to complete their final consolidation of their learning during the 8-week preceptorship experience.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: Domestic admission requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with Grade 12 English (C or U) at a minimum of 65%, Grade 11 or 12 Biology (C or U) at 65%, Grade 11 or 12 Chemistry (C or U) at 65%, and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U) at 65%; these can be obtained free through Academic Upgrading. International applicants must also hold a senior high school diploma/certificate with 65% equivalents in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology, and meet English proficiency with one of: IELTS Academic overall 6.5 with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 88+, or PTE Academic 60+. Before their clinical placement begins, students must complete a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening, required immunizations including COVID-19 vaccination, CPR/First Aid certification, mask-fit testing, and provide medical clearance documentation.

Application Deadline: February 1, 2027 is the equal-consideration date for Fall 2027 entry to this competitive program; applications after that date are waitlisted or considered first-come, first-served if seats remain.
