This program leads to a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) with a Cybersecurity for Business specialization over four years, delivered in-class at the North Oshawa campus, and is available within the Bachelor of Commerce degree to students in any major. Coursework introduces cybersecurity threats, risks and mitigation strategies from a business perspective, covering how cyber threats affect organizations and society and how to build security awareness into business decision-making. The specialization responds to the growing role of cybersecurity across governments, businesses, health services and social infrastructure, extending the subject beyond IT departments into general business leadership. A direct-entry co-op option is available through OUAC code DCC, offering full-time, paid work terms; the regular, non-co-op program is entered through OUAC code DBC. Students with prior post-secondary study can add co-op only after a transfer-credit assessment. The specialization can be taken within the Commerce program by students from any major.
